blog update 4.0

I wanted to do a suuuuper quick update since it has been a while since I've posted. Life has been a bit busy, so I didn't want to post anything that wasn't 100%. I started a new job recently, so that's where my focus has been. More content coming very soon!

three is family: a look back

To say that I've learned a lot over the past 12 months would be a huge understatement. Last April we welcomed our son Foster into the world and life hasn't stopped since then. We've been through great and bad and good and terrible, but it has all been an amazing experience.

blog update 3.0

I've taken off the last month from publishing to give myself time to make some changes with the site. I have to start by saying thank you to everyone that has read, liked, commented, clicked or supported this project in any way. What started as a leap outside of my comfort zone has become one of my favorite things to work on. I'm going to try to make this short and sweet -- it's finally time for blog update 3.0.

the enemy of good

Today I want to take a bit to talk about a few ideas. Things that I've tried to keep front-of-mind for a while now, and I am excited to share them here. Nothing that you'll read today is new and I'm sure that some of you have heard these things before, but I had to write while all of this was jumbling around in my head (plus I didn't really have any post ideas for today, so this is what you get!).

Blog Update 2

The last couple of weeks have been absolutely crazy, so the blog has been put on the back-burner. Instead of throwing together a post and not really giving it 100%, I figured we were long overdue for a blog update.

The Top 5 Things New Parents Learn

Books on books on books couldn't begin to answer all the questions that come up when you have a new baby and you're going to get tons of unsolicited advice from other parents thinking their way is best. Still, there were things that we just had to figure out on our own. All the books and parenting experts missed a few things, so today I thought I'd share the top five things new parents learn (pretty early on).

2016 Rewind (part 2)

In case you missed it -- be sure to check out Part 1 of my 2016 Rewind where I talk about the highlights of the first half of the year. I had no idea what the second half of 2016 had in store for me, but I have to say it was an exciting few months.

2016 Rewind (part 1)

When 2016 started (and I mean literally the first day of 2016), I decided to start a year-long project. I wanted to take a photo every single day. It started as an idea to catch the highlight of each day and try to help keep track of the really important moments. I also hoped it would push me to take more pictures -- and boy, did it!
